We Respect Your Privacy. We use your personal information only to provide member services. By using our site, you agree to this information policy.

At NARCOA, we are committed to providing you with superior products and services, along with the peace of mind of knowing that the security of your personal information is our top priority. We understand your concerns about guarding information about you, and we want to assure you that we have taken steps and will continue to safeguard that information.

 

1.    What Personal Information Do We Collect?

a.    Unlogged-In Site users: We do not collect, store, or sell personally identifiable information about unlogged-in site users.
Like many site operators, we collect and log information your browser sends whenever you visit our site.
This log data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol and IP address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our site, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics. In addition, we may use third-party services such as Google Analytics to collect, monitor, and analyze this data.

b.    NARCOA Members:  In connection with applications for membership in NARCOA and club products and services, we must collect certain personal information about you. We obtain this information from applications and other forms you submit to us and from different sources, such as our Web site. We receive information such as your name, address, year of birth, email address, phone number, and credit or debit card number to perform services on your behalf, make our products and services more conveniently available, or fulfill insurance requirements. "Personal information" does not include information lawfully obtained from publicly available sources or federal, state, or local government records lawfully made available to the public. We do not collect these elements of sensitive personal information:  social security number, driver's license number, gender or sexual identity, religious beliefs, political affiliation, or full date of birth.

c.     Cookies: Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer's hard drive. Like many websites, we use "cookies" to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is received. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may be unable to use some portions of our website.

2. Is Personal Information Shared with Others?

NARCOA respects your privacy. We will not share personal information we collect about you outside of NARCOA except as required by law or with your permission.

3. How Do We Protect the Confidentiality, Security, and Integrity of Personal Information?

NARCOA safeguards personal information in paper and electronic records. Properly securing the information we collect is a primary commitment. We meet security and privacy standards for e-commerce and personal information, ensuring the protection and confidentiality of such information consistent with industry practices.

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the collected information. Remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We restrict access to such information to authorized volunteers of NARCOA, directors, and officers of NARCOA who need it to perform transactions or to provide products or services to you. These volunteers are trained in the proper handling of such information. We do not allow third-parties access to our records except as the law requires.

4. Sharing of information within NARCOA:  By using this website, you agree to the sharing of information we collect within NARCOA for the purposes listed in 3 above, as well as to other members of NARCOA in a form on the online member lookup roster. Only NARCOA members may use this member lookup function. You may opt out of the member roster by emailing narcoamembers.gmail.com.

5. Changes to this Privacy Statement

NARCOA may amend this policy occasionally, at any time, without notice, and at its sole discretion. Please review this policy periodically. Your continued use of NARCOA's website after any such amendments signifies your acceptance of those changes.
